Notes on a crappy day
When Clinton began his first term, the Dow was around 3,000. It hit 11,700 late in the second term, and when he left office, it was about 10,500.
See? Proof.
The Dow's record high was about a year ago: 14,198 on October 11. Not as impressive as the Clinton expansion, but not scoffable.
Today, it plummeted 777 points to 10,365 after the bailout announcement. That puts us in negative territory for the Bush Presidency, folks.
I know they're not playing well across other demographics, and looks like the GOP just might be losing the rich old white guy vote soon.
